In season one of “Dexter: Resurrection,” Dexter awakens from a coma after being shot. He finds that Harrison (Jack Alcott) has vanished. Dexter sets off for the streets of New York City, determined to find Harrison and, somehow, make things right.

When Miami Metro’s Angel Batista (David Zayas) arrives with questions, Dexter realizes his past is catching up to him. That’s not all. A group of serial killers has come together. And they’ve caught Dexter’s eye.

The cast also includes Uma Thurman, Jack Alcott, David Zayas, and John Lithgow, who reprised his role as the Trinity. Peter Dinklage and Krysten Ritter join them. Be sure to check out our interview with the cast of the series.

While Hall’s return secures the future of the main sequel series, another Dexter project met a less fortunate end. The prequel series, “Dexter: Original Sin,” which was set to star Patrick Gibson as a young Dexter, is dead in the water. It has been officially canceled. The decision by Paramount+ to reverse its renewal after the merger with Skydance. This caused a strategic shift in the streamer’s content slate.
