Just in time for Halloween, a terrifying new horror-thriller is preparing to unleash centuries of wicked sorcery. The Salem Chronicles is a chilling tale that proves some family legacies are a curse, not a blessing. The film is set to debut on VOD and Digital platforms on a new date, courtesy of Lionsgate.

Written and directed by Thomas J. Churchill, The Salem Chronicles uses the notoriously haunted backdrop of Salem, Massachusetts, as the stage for an unholy reckoning. The story introduces a young detective who is forced to return to his childhood home. He is tasked with finalizing the estate of his late mother.

The detective soon uncovers a chilling truth about his own bloodline. There is a link to the vengeful witches and dark sorcery of centuries past. What begins as a routine estate closing rapidly devolves into a desperate fight for survival.

Terror from the family’s past resurfaces, and the detective and his wife are brutally thrust into an inescapable nightmare. They soon realize the house is not just full of unimaginable horror, but that they are trapped within a generational curse. The spirits and power of those long-ago trials are very much alive and seeking a dark payment.

The film stars Gina Vitori and Nathan Kehn as the couple struggling against the weight of history and the relentless supernatural threats lurking within the walls of the house. The Salem Chronicles promises a modern and deeply personal take on one of America’s most infamous chapters.

Prepare to face the horrors of The Salem Chronicles when it arrives on VOD and Digital platforms from Lionsgate on October 28, 2025.
