If you thought Rohan Campbell was done with intense genre flicks after Halloween Ends, think again! While he’s already set to return to the big screen this December in Cineverse’s Silent Night, Deadly Night, following his role in The Monkey, that’s only half the story. The significant buzz is his next project,  simply titled Violence.

Deadline just gave the first look image and confirmed that the film’s sales are being handled by The Coven, the same team that brought us the super intense Terrifier 3.

Forget typical thrillers—Violence is being billed as an “operatic punk rock thriller,” which sounds both bonkers and awesome.

Campbell isn’t going into the chaos alone, either. He’s co-starring with Maddie Hasson, who horror fans know from the mind-bending flick, Malignant. The film is directed by Connor Marsden, who also co-wrote the script with William Woods and Devin Myler.

The film centers on Henry Violence, an anti-hero operating in an alternate 1980s world. He gets seriously entangled in a brutal drug war. As rival cartels battle for total supremacy, he is forced to make difficult choices to navigate the treacherous landscape.

Violence is a furious love story wrapped in the raw energy of punk rock and the chaos of a city burning to the ground,” said Marsden. “We set out to create something visceral, cinematic, and utterly unforgettable—a film that hits like a sledgehammer to the chest.”

Director Connor Marsden didn’t hold back on the hype, saying they set out to create “something visceral, cinematic, and utterly unforgettable—a film that hits like a sledgehammer to the chest.” He called it a “furious love story wrapped in the raw energy of punk rock and the chaos of a city burning to the ground.”

Keep your eyes peeled for more news on Violence—this is definitely shaping up to be one of the edgiest genre releases that are heading our way.
