Ready for a new series that will instantly hook you? Apple TV delivers high-octane suspense with “The Last Frontier,” an all-new 10-episode action-thriller set in the rugged, unforgiving wilderness of Alaska.

The series comes from co-creators Jon Bokenkamp (“The Blacklist”) and Richard D’Ovidio (The Call) and stars and is executive produced by acclaimed actor Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty).

“The Last Frontier” follows Frank Remnick (Jason Clarke), the lone U.S. marshal guarding the quiet, remote barrens of Alaska. Remnick’s peaceful jurisdiction shatters when a prison transport plane violently crashes in the wilderness, unleashing dozens of highly dangerous, violent inmates, which sounds like it drew some inspiration for the film Con-Air.

Tasked with protecting the small community he has vowed to keep safe, Remnick quickly realizes the crash was not a mere accident. He begins to suspect the disaster was the calculated first step in a complex, well-crafted plan with far-reaching, devastating implications that threaten more than just his town.

Clarke leads a stellar ensemble cast ready to brave the harsh Alaskan setting, including Dominic Cooper (The Gold), Haley Bennett (The Magnificent Seven), Simone Kessell (Yellowjackets), Dallas Goldtooth (Reservation Dogs), Tait Blum (For All Mankind), and Academy Award Nominee and multi-Emmy Award winner Alfre Woodard (Clemency).

“The Last Frontier” premiered globally on Apple TV on Friday, October 10, 2025. The series debuted with the first two episodes, followed by new installments dropping every Friday through December 5.

Hailing from Apple Studios, the series boasts a seasoned executive production team. Bokenkamp and D’Ovidio serve as executive producers and writers alongside Clarke, Laura Benson (The Big C), Glenn Kessler (Bloodline), and Albert Kim (Nikita). Sam Hargrave (Extraction) directed the episodic series, bringing an evident action pedigree to the intense thriller.

So, get comfortable, hit play, and start binge-watching “The Last Frontier” today.
