Get ready for a haunting experience and to control a paranormal investigation yourself! A groundbreaking interactive ghost-hunting film, Control Your Fear, is set to debut in April. Filmed at the famously haunted Malvern Manor in Iowa, the project utilizes proprietary CtrlMovie technology to turn the viewing experience into a live, audience-driven game.

This new film, created by Andrew Zeiderman (Southern Charm) and Scott C. Silver (The Pyramid), merges the “authenticity of a real paranormal investigation with the dynamic participation of a live interactive game.” The result is a hybrid of reality, technology, and audience-driven storytelling.

Production recently wrapped at Malvern Manor, one of the top reportedly haunted locations in the United States. The experience follows three real-life personalities, each bringing a unique perspective to the darkness:

  • Jake Bruce: An online ghost hunter and social-media influencer, providing an investigator’s eye.
  • Bri Luna: Founder of The Hoodwitch and a leading modern mystic, offering a spiritual perspective.
  • Alexandra Deaver: A ghost-hunting enthusiast and direct descendant of a Salem witch-trial victim, connecting the past to the present.

As they step into the manor’s chilling interior, only the audience decides how deep the investigation goes. Every scene was captured live using a blend of modern methods, time-honored ghost-hunting techniques, and divination practices. The result is an unfiltered investigation documenting numerous terrifying moments that left the cast and crew questioning everything.

The film uses Kino Industries’ proprietary CtrlMovie technology, allowing viewers to access the experience on a wide range of devices, including major gaming systems, tablets, and mobile phones. This system allows both single- and multiplayer decision-making, where collective choices directly shape events and lead to different endings based on participants’ choices.

“This is ghost hunting like you’ve never experienced before,” co-creator Silver stated. “It takes the familiar genre and turns the dial all the way up, making the audience an active force inside the investigation.”

Zeiderman, who also directed the project, was quoted by Variety as saying: “For decades, fans have watched investigators probe the unknown. Now, for the first time, they’re not just watching the hunt—they’re inside it.”

Control Your Fear shatters the mold of paranormal storytelling when it debuts in April 2026.
