Get ready to celebrate the season with cinema’s most iconic masked killer! John Carpenter’s groundbreaking classic, Halloween (1978), widely hailed as one of the most influential horror films of all time, is set to terrify audiences once more as it returns to theaters across the country this Halloween!
The original, along with Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers and Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers, will slash its way into nearly 2,300 theaters. And new locations are being added daily.
For many horror fans, seeing Michael Myers on the big screen is a cherished seasonal tradition. So, CineLife Entertainment and Trancas International Films are proud to continue this legacy.
“Seeing Halloween in theatres is unlike anything else. It’s the way the film was intended to be experienced,” said Malek Akkad, CEO of Trancas International Films. “It’s an annual chance to share the suspense, the dread, and the terror of Michael Myers on the big screen.”
Bernadette McCabe, Executive Vice President of CineLife Entertainment, added, “Halloween is more than just a film. It is an experience that has become part of how people celebrate the season. We’re thrilled to bring these classics back to theatres so both long-time fans and first-time viewers can share in the excitement, the scares, and the fun of spending October with Michael Myers.”
The re-release offers a three-part journey into the chilling world of Haddonfield:
- Halloween (1978): Written and directed by John Carpenter and Debra Hill, this film established the modern slasher genre. It stars Jamie Lee Curtis in her unforgettable film debut and Donald Pleasence as the ever-cautious Dr. Loomis. The film introduces six-year-old Michael Myers’ brutal first murder, his 15 years locked away, and his infamous escape on October 30, 1978, as he hunts new victims in his quiet hometown.
- Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988): Set nearly a decade later, the apparently comatose Michael (George P. Wilbur) awakens and pursues his surviving niece, Jamie (Danielle Harris). Dr. Loomis (Pleasence) remains relentless on the killer’s path, attempting to protect Jamie and her foster sister, Rachel (Ellie Cornell).
- Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989): Michael (Donald L. Shanks) awakens from a coma, determined to kill his niece, Jamie (Harris), who is now confined to a mental institution. Psychiatrist Dr. Sam Loomis (Pleasence) and Sheriff Ben Meeker (Beau Starr) must join forces to stop Michael’s latest rampage.
Don’t miss your chance to experience the primal terror of Michael Myers on the big screen this October.
