A new trailer has just been released for the upcoming horror, The Blade Cuts Deeper. It is an intense story of vengeance against a sensationalist true-crime host.
The film, directed by Gene Dolders, flips the script on the true-crime phenomenon. It sees a victim’s family member decide to make the exploitative host the subject of his own deadly investigation.
The movie introduces us to John Abbott, a narcissistic, wealthy host of the infamous true-crime show Lights, Camera, KILL. Abbott has built his career and fortune by shamelessly exploiting the pain and suffering of victims, leveraging lurid re-enactments of horrific crimes for ratings and fame.
However, the pursuit of “five minutes of fame” comes at a terrible price. Broken by loss and fueled by a burning thirst for revenge, one victim’s relative has decided he has seen enough. This determined individual now seeks to make Abbott bleed, turning the host into the hunted in a chilling pursuit of vigilante justice.
The Blade Cuts Deeper features an ensemble cast ready to deliver the film’s sharp suspense. The cast includes John Tueart, Kristin Jaap, James Podmore, Vicki Avery, Kevin Carter, Peter Durr, Quentin J. Gray, and more.
