Cineverse, the next-generation entertainment studio, brings a terrifying Pennsylvania urban legend to the screen with Pig Hill, the latest feature from director Kevin Lewis (Willy’s Wonderland). The chilling film, which draws inspiration from the mysterious disappearance of local women, debuts on Digital platforms this December.
The horror film is adapted from the Nancy William novel Pig. It follows an author who delves into the unsettling disappearance of local women in Meadville, Pennsylvania. However, she quickly becomes entangled in a bizarre local legend about monstrous creatures that live on Pig Hill.
The film stars Shane West (A Walk to Remember, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen) and Rainey Qualley (Ocean’s Eight, Mad Men), who investigate the strange happenings. They are joined by Shiloh Fernandez (Evil Dead) and horror veteran R.A. Mihailoff (Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III).
Director Kevin Lewis explained his draw to the project:
“I think some of the best horror comes from ideas that are connected to the real world. When I read Jarrod Burris’ screenplay adapted from the Nancy William’s novel ‘Pig,’ and learned about the Pig People of Meadville, Pennsylvania, I knew it would make for a frightening, bone-chilling film.”
Lewis described the film as a poignant narrative: “It is a poignant story of obsession, love, and the terrible consequences of what happens when reality and fantasy blur.”
Pig Hill will launch across Digital and Video On Demand on December 9, 2025. Fans can get their cop on DVD and Blu-ray starting January 13, 2026. The film will then begin streaming exclusively on the horror platform SCREAMBOX on March 10, 2026.
