A new voice in independent cinema, writer-director Dalila Droege aims to deliver a chilling vision of societal collapse and paranoid survival in her upcoming feature, No More Time. The film plunges audiences into a world gripped by an incomprehensible epidemic, forcing its protagonists into a desperate battle for refuge and trust in a stunning, isolated landscape.
A Mysterious Disease and Dual Threat
No More Time centers on a couple who seek a fragile sanctuary in a remote mountain town, hoping to outrun a global crisis unlike any seen before. The catalyst for the world’s swift descent into chaos is a mysterious, highly unpredictable disease that manifests in two terrifyingly distinct ways. For some, the disease causes them to disappear silently, leaving behind no trace. For others, it triggers a transformation into hateful, murderous aggressors, turning neighbors and friends into immediate, bloodthirsty threats.
As the stakes grow exponentially higher and the dangers draw closer within their supposed haven, the couple must confront the moral abyss of their situation. Every new face is a potential killer or a precursor to vanishing, compelling them to make impossible choices about who to trust and what desperate measures they are willing to take to ensure their continued survival.
Cast and Crew
Droege has assembled an impressive ensemble cast to bring this tense narrative to life. Leading the film are Jennifer Harlow (who also developed the film’s story with Droege) and Mark Reeb (who also serves as an Executive Producer). They are joined by a powerful supporting cast that includes Tunde Adebimpe (Rachel Getting Married), David Sullivan (Argo), with acclaimed actress and filmmaker Amy Seimetz (The Girlfriend Experience), and veteran genre actor Jim Beaver (Deadwood, Supernatural).
No More Time aims to be more than just a survival thriller; it is a profound meditation on the breakdown of community and the cost of human connection when there truly is no more time.
No More Time lands on Digital platforms starting December 19th.
