Get ready for a blood-soaked, heavy metal horror experience. Devour (aka Virginia Bitches), a new hair-raising horror film that blends heavy metal with monstrous mayhem, is headed your way. Today, we’ve got the first trailer, offering a glimpse at the terrifying beasts that stalk the film.

In the film, an all-female metal band, “The Virginia Bitches,” finds its tour taking a terrifying detour when their van breaks down in the middle of nowhere. Seeking help, they stumble upon a secluded town. However, the inhabitants are a cannibal clan led by a notorious Warlock. Soon, a brutal fight for survival ensues as the band must unleash their inner demons to escape becoming the next meal.

Filmed at Digital Thunderdome Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, Devour emphasizes practical effects, bringing its creatures to life with gruesome realism. Special effects titan Wayne Anderson (known for his work on blockbusters like Jurassic WorldIT, and The Predator) designed and built the creature suits, ensuring a visceral and terrifying experience. Kevin Meaux and Oliver Kasiske of OX FX also lend their expertise to the film.

The film features an impressive cast that includes Gavin Wilde of “The Righteous Gemstones” and The Black Phone, and Katelyn Newberry, who starred in the Netflix hit Juror #2. Heidi Shepherd, Gus Langley, John Wells, Chelsea Lesage, and Alexandra Lucchessi co-star.

Devour is directed by Scott B. Hansen and written by Desiree Hansen. It is based on a story by Scott B. Hansen (Bad Candy). Ryan Shelor, George Elliott, and Ray Heberer produce.

Devour is set to arrive sometime in 2026. We’ll keep you posted.
