ARROW is kicking off the holiday season with a massive slate of genre classics, new cult favorites, and the ultimate collection of Hong Kong horror and martial arts cinema.

December 2 is the premiere of a new 4K restoration of Pupi Avati’s 1976 Italian giallo masterpiece, The House with Laughing Windows. One of the greatest gialli ever made, this lesser-seen gem offers a uniquely eerie and artful twist on the genre.

  • Synopsis: Art restorer Stefano arrives in an isolated village to repair a fresco by a mad “death artist.” As people begin turning up dead, Stefano fears the artist has returned to continue his brutal career.

December 1: Kier-La Janisse Selects

Acquisitions executive, author, and director Kier-La Janisse (Woodlands Dark and Days Bewitched) curates a selection that includes her recent narrative feature, The Occupant of the Room.

December 5: Witchcraft, Hexes, and Horror (Shaw Brothers)

ARROW brews up curses and mayhem with six wild supernatural thrillers from the 70s and 80s:

  • Black Magic & Black Magic Part 2: Martial arts hero Ti Lung battles evil magic spells and wicked witch doctors.

  • Hex (The original supernatural mystery thriller), Hex Vs. Witchcraft, and Hex After Hex: Director Kuei Chih-hung blends comedy, ghosts, and frightening Hong Kong horror.

  • Bewitched: Another stunning horror film from the Hex director, revolving around a police detective investigating claims of an evil spell and a maggot-ridden killer.

  • Oily Maniac: Ho Meng-hua’s horror hit based on a true story about a creature that kills at night, starring Danny Lee.

December 12: Christmas Double Feature

Stuff your stockings with holiday horror:

  • A Cadaver Christmas (US/CA): An evil force in a cadaver lab recruits an army of the undead to claim the living for Christmas.

  • 13 Slays till Xmas (US/CA/UK/IE): Five men gather on Christmas Eve to tell scary stories.

December 22: ARROW After Dark (Exploitation)

Unwind after the holidays with a selection of classic exploitation cinema: My Nights With Susan, Sandra, Olga & Julie (US/CA), Cheerleaders Wild Weekend (US/CA), Bikini Carwash Company (US/CA), and Bikini Carwash Company II (US/CA).

 The Shaw Brothers Blockbuster

ARROW delivers a massive wave of Hong Kong cinema, culminating in a major box set release.

December 8: More Shaw Brothers Wildness

Four martial arts and mystery epics are added, including Bat Without Wings (an atmospheric mystery thriller), Bloody Parrot (a fast-paced kung-fu adventure), The Fake Ghost-Catchers (an action comedy), and the notoriously gory Seeding of a Ghost.

December 19: Shawscope Volume Four

Close out your office for the holidays and fire up Shawscope Volume Four, a sixteen-film collection featuring the wildest and weirdest films from the studio, gorgeously restored. Titles include The Super Inframan, Demon of the Lute, Seeding of a Ghost, and many of the Black Magic and Hex films already released earlier in the month.

ARROW is available in the US, Canada, the UK, and Ireland. The service is available on Roku, Apple TV & iOS, Samsung TVs, Android TV and mobile devices, Fire TV, Xbox One, LG Smart TVs, and web browsers. Head over to https://www.arrow-player.com now.
