Greenland 2: Migration is about to drop, and the world is looking absolutely shattered! Earlier this month, we saw Butler run for his life in a new clip. Now, a new clip, titled “Chutes and Ladders,” has just landed. It gives us a taste of the pure, high-stakes adrenaline that awaits the Garrity family.
In the original disaster epic, we watched Gerard Butler star as a desperate father fighting tooth and nail to save his family as a world-ending comet bore down on Earth. Against all odds, the Garrity family miraculously made it to the secure bunker before much of humanity perished. But that was just the beginning.
The New Mission: Finding Home in a Wasteland
However, surviving the initial impact was just the beginning. Greenland 2: Migration picks up the story right where the first film left off, continuing to follow the Garrity family as they emerge into a literally shattered world. Their new, terrifying objective? Traverse this apocalyptic wasteland in search of a new, permanent home.
The world is a very different, much more dangerous place. They will have to face down a triple threat of hazards, including extreme weather, ruins of the collapsed civilization, and people who will do anything to stay alive. Get ready for action, drama, and total destruction!
The Returning and New Cast
Director Ric Roman Waugh (who also helmed the original Greenland) returns to deliver his intense, visceral style, working from a script penned by Chris Sparling and Mitchell LaFortune.
We are thrilled that the core family—Gerard Butler, Morena Baccarin, and Roman Griffin Davis—are back! They are joined by a fantastic set of new cast members, including Amber Rose Revah, Sophie Thompson, Trond Fausa Aurvåg, and William Abadie.
Greenland 2: Migration opens exclusively in theaters on January 9, 2026. Don’t miss your chance to experience this edge-of-your-seat survival sequel!
