Heads up, everybody, get your Stimpaks ready because the wait is officially over! The second season of Fallout was scheduled to premiere tomorrow, December 17, but it arrived a day early!
If you haven’t already seen it, the trailer is promising a full-blown war in the wasteland. It’s looking action-packed, intense, and—honestly—a little bit terrifying.
If you’ve been living in a vault and missed the hype, this series takes place after the world went up in flames, leaving behind a universe that is “g”eefully weird and highly violent.” It’s essentially my Tuesday morning commute, just with more mutants and better outfits.
The Squad is Back (and Then Some!)
Our favorite perky Vault-dweller, Ella Purnell (Lucy), is back on her mission, and she’s still dealing with the ultimate wasteland bad boy: Walton Goggins as the Ghoul. This guy has been kicking around for 200 years, and let’s say he hasn’t gotten any friendlier during the off-season.
But wait—the cast for Season 2 is getting even wilder! We’ve got Macaulay Culkin joining the mayhem! Home Alone… in the Apocalypse? Yes, please! Kumail Nanjiani and returning legends like Aaron Moten, Kyle MacLachlan, and Michael Emerson.
A Certified Post-Apocalyptic Hit
In case you forgot, Season 1 was an absolute monster hit. It bagged a 97% on Rotten Tomatoes, scored a bunch of Emmy nods, and even took home a win for its incredible music. It’s officially the gold standard for video game adaptations.
How to Watch
The chaos has officially kicked off. However, unlike the first season’s “all-at-once” drop, Prime Video is switching things up this time—we’re getting one episode a week. It’s going to be a slow-burning struggle for survival, and we are totally here for it.
Oh, and the best news? Prime Video is so confident in the wasteland that they’ve already ordered a third season! And, if you’re looking for some holiday vibes, check out the “Fallout Ghoul Log!”
