February is going to be a killer month for horror! 20th Century Studios is finally dropping Psycho Killer—a movie that has been brewing in the horror-thriller pipeline since 2023. If you like your slashers with a side of “satanic panic” and a heavy dose of revenge, this is going to be your new obsession.
The Pedigree: From Se7en to Zombieland
This isn’t just some random low-budget flick. The behind-the-scenes talent alone is enough to make a horror nerd salivate. Andrew Kevin Walker penned the script. Yes, the same guy who wrote Se7en and Sleepy Hollow. Expect things to get dark!
Gavin Polone is making his feature directorial debut. You know him as the producer of Zombieland and Panic Room, so he knows exactly how to balance tension with a good “oh crap” moment.
The Plot: Don’t Mess With Jane
The story follows Jane Thorne (played by Georgina Campbell, our favorite survivor from Barbarian). Jane is a police officer whose life is flipped upside down when a serial killer murders her State Trooper husband, the news has dubbed the “Satanic Slasher.”
Jane doesn’t just go to grief counseling; she goes on a cross-country warpath to hunt him down. Along the way, she discovers that this guy isn’t just a murderer—he’s got a “sinister agenda” that’s way more twisted than a standard killing spree.

The Cast: A Horror Fan’s Dream
Joining Campbell is James Preston Rogers. He’s a former pro wrestler who plays the titular Satanic Slasher. He’s enormous, he’s terrifying, and he’s messed with the wrong one. Logan Miller is playing Marvin, described as a “goth-type nebbish.” He works in a massive mansion for a mysterious figure named Pendleton. Are you ready for this? Horror legend Malcolm McDowell has also joined the cast, because you can’t have a genuinely creepy movie without him.
The Wait is Nearly Over
The film actually finished shooting back in 2023, but has been sitting in post-production limbo (likely waiting for the perfect spot in Disney/20th Century’s massive release schedule). It’s already earned a hard R-rating for “strong bloody violence, sexual content, and graphic nudity,” so don’t expect it to pull any punches.
I don’t know about you, but Psycho Killer is at the top of my watch list for 2026. This brutal flick is set to slash its way into theaters on February 20, 2026! My recommendation is to get your tickets in advance for this one.
