If you thought your last apartment hunt was a nightmare, wait until you meet the neighbors at The Virgil. Warner Bros. just dropped the official trailer for They Will Kill You, a blood-soaked horror-comedy arriving this spring.

This isn’t just a “creepy building” movie—it’s being described as a high-octane mashup of Ready or Not and the martial arts masterpiece The Raid. Basically, imagine a cult initiation that turns into a floor-by-floor cage match. And the new Red Band trailer teases a film that looks like a bloody good time.

The Gig From Hell

Zazie Beetz stars as a woman who is desperate enough for work that she answers a cryptic help-wanted ad for a live-in housekeeper. The location? A gorgeous, ultra-exclusive NYC high-rise. The catch? The residents have a nasty habit of disappearing, and the “co-op board” is actually a demonic cult.

When the building goes into lockdown, Zazie has to trade her mop for a machete to fight her way through a “death-trap of a lair” before she becomes the evening’s main course.

The A-List Cult

The cast for this building is absolutely stacked. It includes Patricia Arquette, playing the building’s co-op president (and likely the cult’s HBIC). Tom Felton is swapping his wand for a ritual dagger as a dedicated cult member. Heather Graham and Myha’la round out the secretive, eccentric community that wants Zazie dead.

Why It’s the “Must-Watch” of March

Director Kirill Sokolov is making his English-language debut here. If you’ve seen his Russian dark comedy Why Don’t You Just Die!, you know he specializes in extreme violence that makes you laugh while you’re in tears.

This is the first project from Nocturna, the new horror label founded by Andy and Barbara Muschietti (the duo behind the IT movies).

The MPAA just slapped this with a hard R for “strong bloody violence and gore.” Translation: It’s going to be fun!

Get Ready

They Will Kill You will slash into theaters on March 7, 2026. Funnily enough, it’s opening the same day as Ready or Not 2, making it a “Double Feature of Final Girls” weekend.
