Horror fans, and listen up: the “Holy Grail” of lost slasher films has officially been resurrected. For a quarter-century, All American Massacre was the stuff of internet legend. It’s a “lost” spin-off of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. One person discussed in hushed tones on message boards, but no one could actually watch.

Originally from William Hooper (son of legendary director Tobe Hooper) and the man himself, Bill Moseley, the project sat in a vault for decades… until now.

The Resurrection of “Bloody Bobby”

Thanks to the team at DRagonSTUDIOS, this long-buried nightmare has been dug up, dusted off, and completely overhauled.

The movie focuses on the fan-favorite lunatic Chop Top (played by the iconic Bill Moseley). Set years after the events of TCM 2, we find “Bloody Bobby” in a psychiatric prison, where he’s recounting his life story. But this isn’t a boring therapy session. It’s a trip down a very bloody memory lane that reveals how the Sawyers became the face of Texas terror.

Leatherface, Bobby’s Big brother, is back to help Bobby carve through a modern world that’s clearly forgotten how to be afraid. But that’s not all; we finally get to meet members of the Sawyer clan who were previously only footnotes in the lore.

Why the Wait was Worth It

The producers have gone all-out to make this a “complete” cinematic experience. The original footage has been meticulously restored, and the audio has been modernized. Additionally, they’ve shot newfootage to expand the story, bringing in cult horror icons from other franchises to round out the cast.

The film captures that gritty, 1970s “sun-drenched nightmare” aesthetic mixed with the pitch-black humor that made the first two Chainsaw movies legendary.

How to Watch

You can finally stop hunting for bootleg clips. The film is being released through Cinebacker, where you can purchase the movie we were promised in 2000.

Whether you’re a die-hard Leatherface loon or love a good “lost film,” this is one to watch. You can get involved by heading over to the Cinebacker site now.
