If you’re a fan of gritty noir, supernatural monsters, or love a good indie success story, listen up. Fighting Owl Films just dropped the official trailer for Demon Squad: Tooth and Claw, the highly anticipated sequel to the cult hit Demon Squad.

You might recognize the first movie from its star turn on Season 13 of “Mystery Science Theater 3000.” While the bots gave it the riffing treatment, horror fans fell in love with its ambitious world-building and indie charm. That love translated into an entirely crowdfunded sequel that’s bigger, hairier, and bloodier than the original, which you can watch now on Fandango at Home, Pluto TV, Shout!, and Prime Video.

Werewolves in the South

Paranormal investigator Nick Moon is back on the clock. This time, a string of brutal, messy killings is tearing through a Southern city. The evidence? All signs point to a werewolf with a serious attitude problem.

Nick is pulled back into the shadows to track the beast, but as he digs deeper, he realizes this isn’t just a random animal attack. There’s a massive supernatural conspiracy brewing, and Nick has to stop the monster before he becomes the next snack.

Why the Hype is Real

After appearing on the “Mystery Science” show, Demon Squad earned a devoted following. Fans wanted more of the “Demon Squad Universe,” and this sequel delivers. Thanks to the crowdfunding support, Tooth and Claw expands the lore with new creatures, deeper stakes, and even better practical effects. It’s a perfect mix of hardboiled detective noir and classic monster horror. Think Harry Dresden meets The Wolfman.

The Trailer

The trailer shows off a fresh look at Nick Moon in action and gives us a glimpse of the new beasts he’ll be facing. It’s a love letter to indie horror and a testament to what a dedicated fanbase can help create.

A release date will be announced soon, and we’ll keep you posted! In the meantime, check out the new hair-raising trailer below.
