If you like your horror with a heavy side of mind games, listen up. BayView Entertainment just locked down the global rights for the upcoming psychological thriller Unseen, and it sounds like a total head-trip.

Written and directed by Steve Merlo, Unseen (not to be confused with Blumhouse’s Unseen) isn’t your typical jump-scare fest. It’s being described as a “visceral rollercoaster” that dives deep into the messy world of trauma and psychological warfare.

A Game of Mental Survival

The story kicks off against the backdrop of a mysterious, wide-scale disaster. We follow a mentally unstable man who’s trying to fix his own fractured conscience in the worst way possible: by tormenting a woman who is already struggling with a history of abuse. It’s a dark, gritty look at what happens when broken people collide in a world falling apart.

A Cast of Horror Heavyweights

The film features some faces (and voices) you’ll definitely recognize if you’re a genre fan. The cast includes Jaime Hill (Skinamarink), Brett Wagner (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre), Trinity Chase, Katerina Khramova, and Adam Ginsberg, who provides the creepy, atmospheric voice of the “Unseen Man.”

Why We’re Watching

The hype is already building. Unseen was recently named the very first official selection for the Illinois Horror Movie Festival. It also has a massive grassroots following, thanks to a super-successful Indiegogo campaign that helped bring Merlo’s vision to life.

BayView Entertainment’s President, Peter Castro, says the film is a perfect fit for their 2026 lineup, praising its “intense performances and unsettling narrative.”

When Can You See It?

BayView is planning a multi-platform digital and streaming rollout later this year. We’ll keep you posted. In the meantime, head over to BayView Entertainment’s official website to discover more films.
