We are this close to a new Sam Raimi masterpiece, and honestly, we can practically taste the island’s salt air. To hold you over for the final few days, two brand-new clips for Send Help just dropped, and the tension is already off the charts.

The first clip shows Rachel McAdams (as Linda Little) proving she’s a total boss, “bringing home the bacon.” The second features Dylan O’Brien (as Bradley Preston) threatening to fire her. The office drama is real—even when the office is a deserted island.

Cast Away Meets Dark Comedy

What happens when two colleagues who can’t stand each other are the only survivors of a plane crash? You get Send Help. Stranded on a remote island, Linda and Bradley have to ditch their past baggage to stay alive.

Expect an unsettling, darkly humorous battle of wits where the environment is just as dangerous as the person standing next to you. This is Raimi in his element: mixing survival horror with that signature “mean” streak of comedy.

A Horror Dream Team

Sam Raimi, however, hasn’t just brought a great cast. He’s assembled a crew of legends. The iconic Danny Elfman (Spider-Man, Beetlejuice) provides the score. Written by Damian Shannon & Mark Swift, the duo who gave us Freddy vs. Jason and the 2009 Friday the 13th.

Zainab Azizi (Locked) produces this must-see movie. In fact, we sat down for an interview with her about the film. You should check it out.

Alongside McAdams and O’Brien, look out for Dennis Haysbert (24), Xavier Samuel, Chris Pang, and even Sam’s daughter, Emma Raimi. And get this,  genre legend Bruce Campbell makes an appearance. It wouldn’t be a Raimi movie without him!

Why We’re Hyped

Send Help isn’t your average “lost at sea” story. With an R-rating for “strong/bloody violence and language,” Raimi is clearly leaning back into the gritty, visceral style that made us fall in love with his early work.

Send Help arrives in theaters January 30. So, grab your tickets—and maybe a life vest.
