Have you ever been watching a movie and seen a young actor you know is going places? That was my feeling while I was watching the indie horror film New Fear’s Eve. The moment Lily-Claire Harvey stepped on screen, she caught my attention. Well, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Harvey to discuss life and the slasher, and I have to say, I walked away even more impressed.
If you haven’t seen New Fears Eve, you need to put it at the top of your must-see list. I went into it expecting just another slasher; however, I have to say, I truly enjoyed it. What I didn’t expect was for it to be funny as hell. While a killer dressed as a plague doctor goes on one hell of a killing spree, we meet three employees/friends who go to a company party, where things turn very bloody.
The film comes from the dynamic filmmaking duo of PJ Starks and Eric Huskisson. The powerhouse production team also includes Jeffrey Reddick (creator of Final Destination) and the legendary Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp).
The cast includes Dave Sheridan (Scary Movie), Matthew Tichenor, Turner Vaughn (The Silent Natural), Hannah Fierman (V/H/S), and Jeffrey Reddick, making a rare on-screen appearance. The film introduces Jesse McDonald as the terrifying new slasher, “The Doctor.”
