Get ready for a wild ride that mixes historical grit with supernatural chills! Ross Marquand—who we all know and love as Aaron from “The Walking Dead“—is officially starring in a brand-new WWII horror-thriller called Unknown Company, and Deadline just gave us a first look at some intense new images.
Soldiers vs. The Supernatural
Set during the final, chaotic days of World War II, the movie follows a small unit of American soldiers sent deep behind enemy lines. Their mission? Find the wreckage of an unidentified object (cue the sci-fi/horror vibes!).
But this isn’t just a simple search-and-rescue. The mission quickly spirals into a psychological nightmare, forcing the squad to face their own fears and loyalties as they confront something genuinely out of this world.
A Cast of Nerd-Culture Royalty
Ross Marquand isn’t the only familiar face in the trenches. He’s joined by Nolan North (Uncharted), Hugh Scott (Deadpool), and Zak Steiner (“Euphoria”). Mace Coronel (“That ’90s Show”) and Sarah Hay (Flesh and Bone) round out the cast.
The Vibe: Grounded Terror
Director Vincent Talenti isn’t just looking for jump scares. He says the film is really about “what it means to be human in the face of the inexplicable.” By mixing the brutal reality of war with supernatural elements, the film aims to keep the stakes feeling honest and emotional.
The script comes from Gavin Hignight, who has worked on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, so expect some excellent character dynamics.
Current Status
Great news—filming has officially wrapped! The movie is currently in post-production, which means we’re one step closer to seeing a trailer.
If you loved movies like Overlord or Ghosts of War, keep your eyes peeled for Unknown Company. It’s shaping up to be a must-see!
