The world technically “ended” five years ago, but for the Garrity family, the nightmare is just getting its second wind. While the first film was all about the frantic race to get underground, Greenland 2: Migration proves that surviving the blast was actually the easy part.

Survival Is Just the Beginning

Back in the 2020 hit, John Garrity (Gerard Butler) fought through sheer chaos to get to his wife, Allison (Morena Baccarin), and son, Nathan (Roman Griffin Davis). The family found themselves in a secret bunker just as a “planet-killer” comet slammed into Earth.

We all thought the bunker was the “happily ever after,” but five years later, the sanctuary is failing. The air is turning toxic, resources are bone-dry, and the refuge is quickly becoming a tomb. The Garritys are forced to leave the safety of the walls and head back out into the light. Their mission? A grueling trek across a decimated European wasteland toward a rumored safe zone in southern France: The Clarke Crater.

A “Triple Threat” to Your Heart Rate

This isn’t just a road trip through some ruins; it’s a suicide mission. The world outside has been reshaped into a shattered, frozen desert where the laws of physics (and humanity) no longer apply. The Garritys are up against radioactive storms, and freak lightning has turned the atmosphere into a gamble. Europe is unrecognizable, leaving the family to navigate a frozen, broken continent. And in a world with zero laws and even fewer snacks, other survivors are the ultimate wild card.

The Dream Team is Back

Director Ric Roman Waugh returns to bring his signature “boots-on-the-ground” grit to the sequel, ensuring the apocalypse feels as real (and stressful) as possible. Along with the original trio, Amber Rose Revah (The Punisher) and William Abadie (Emily in Paris) join the cast as the world tries to figure out how to be human again.

Greenland 2: Migration hits Premium Digital and PVOD on January 27, so you can witness the end of the world from the comfort of your couch.
