If you’re a fan of high-stakes “what if” scenarios and gritty science fiction, you’ll want to clear some space on your watchlist. BayView Entertainment has officially unleashed Forty-Two, a tense new thriller that’s now ready to stream on digital platforms worldwide—including Amazon Prime Video.

What’s the Story?

Imagine a world where the victors wrote the history books of the Axis powers. Forty-Two takes us deep into an alternate reality where the Nazis won World War II.

The story follows a group of British civilians who find themselves trapped and detained by a cold, calculating SS officer. He’s convinced a Resistance spy is hiding in their midst, and he’s willing to do absolutely anything to root them out. It’s a classic “cat and mouse” game, but with much higher stakes and a dark, sci-fi edge.

The Talent Behind the Lens

The film is the brainchild of Eric Steele, an award-winning director who also handled the script. Steele manages to blend historical dread with the pacing of a modern thriller, making the “what if” feel uncomfortably honest.

The film’s cast includes Oliver Devoti (“Game of Thrones”) and Allan Nicol (Coronation Street). Mia Vore and Matthew McCloud round out the lead roles, delivering the grounded, emotional performances needed for such a high-pressure premise.

Why BayView is on the Move

If the name BayView Entertainment sounds familiar, it’s probably because they’ve been killing it lately in the indie scene. They’re the same team that brought the viral sensation Skinamarink to audiences, along with the cult classic Robot Monster. Most recently, it unleashed the psychological horror film Unseen.

By adding Forty-Two to a catalog that already includes legendary documentaries like On Any Given Sunday and The Endless Summer, BayView is cementing its reputation as one of the fastest-growing independent distributors around. They clearly have a knack for finding stories that are just a little bit different from the Hollywood norm.

Ready to Watch?

You can find Forty-Two right now on Amazon Prime Video and other major digital stores. Whether you’re a history buff or love a good psychological thriller, this is one to check out.
