Summer of ’85
Set in the neon-soaked summer of 1985, the story follows Josie, a camp counselor looking for the ultimate “one last hurrah.” She gathers her best friends at her family’s secluded barn for a final weekend of partying.
However, the nostalgia trip hits a snag pretty quickly. The barn has been rotting away for years, and it turns out it’s hiding a dark history that Josie was hoping would stay buried. Between poor decisions, teenage hormones, and excessive curiosity, the group accidentally awakens something malevolent. What was supposed to be a goodbye party turns into a frantic fight for survival as a supernatural force starts picking them off one by one.

This is a high-energy, 80s-inspired throwback that leans hard into dark laughs, over-the-top chaos, and lots of blood. Did I mention old school practical FX? Shoutout to Caroline Mills for the old-school makeup and gore.
The film stars Chloe Cherry (from Euphoria), Lena Redford, and Bambina, alongside a strong ensemble that includes Sam Lanier and Felipe Di Poi.
Gabriel Bernini directed this fun flick. He also co-wrote it with Alexandra Jade. The film features a score by Jonathan Rado, ensuring those 80s synth vibes are on point. At a tight 76 minutes, it’s the perfect length for a late-night horror binge.
