Sidney Prescott is officially back, and she’s not just fighting for her life anymore—she’s fighting for her family. The new Ghostface has Sidney’s daughter in his crosshairs in Scream 7.
The Creator Returns
In the biggest “full circle” moment in horror history, franchise creator Kevin Williamson (the man who wrote the original 1996 masterpiece) is officially taking over as director. In the new featurette, Williamson discusses his vision for bringing the series back to its roots while cranking the intensity up to eleven.
It’s All About Family
Sidney (the legendary Neve Campbell) has spent decades trying to outrun the shadow of the mask. But in Scream 7, the nightmare hits home. Her daughter, played by Isabel May (1883), is the killer’s primary target. To save her, Sidney must stop hiding and finish what began in Woodsboro thirty years ago.
The Ultimate Ensemble
This cast is absolutely stacked, bridging the gap between OG legends and the new “Core Four” survivors. Returning alongside Campbell is the franchise’s other final girl, Courteney Cox, as the immortal Gale Weathers. Survivors from the franchise that are also back include Jasmin Savoy Brown (Mindy) and Mason Gooding (Chad). There’s a lot of “new blood” as well, including Joel McHale, Anna Camp, McKenna Grace, Jimmy Tatro, and Mark Consuelos.
Back to Basics
After the big-city chaos of New York in Scream 7, this installment is getting personal again. Writers Guy Busick and James Vanderbilt have crafted what is being teased as the “definitive final chapter” for Sidney. It’s less about the scale and more about the scares.
Get ready: Scream 7 slashes into theaters this February 27, 2026.
