If you’ve been itching for a fresh reason to keep the lights on at night, your weekend plans just got sorted. The new slasher flick He’s Watching You has officially clawed its way onto Apple TV and Amazon Prime, and it’s even playing in select U.S. theaters if you’re brave enough to see it on the big screen.

Small Town, Big Problems

The movie drops us right into Page Hollow, one of those “nothing ever happens here” sleepy towns that—let’s be real—is always the perfect setting for a massacre. The peace is absolutely shattered when a string of gruesome murders starts thinning out the local population.

Enter Cameron, a high school outcast and photographer who spends more time behind a lens than talking to people. While the rest of the town is panicking, Cameron stumbles upon a stash of mysterious, dusty VHS tapes. It turns out these tapes aren’t just old home movies; they’re filled with cryptic clues about the killings.

Suddenly, Cameron is in a high-stakes race against time to solve the mystery before he’s next. And in classic slasher fashion, he quickly learns that the killer might be way closer than a zoom lens can handle.

A Cast You Actually Recognize

One of the best parts about this flick is the cast. It’s packed with faces you’ve definitely seen on your favorite binge-watches. There’s Jan Luis Castellanos from13 Reasons Why and Tall Girl 2. Elizabeth Yu stars hot off her role in Avatar: The Last Airbender. Gianni DeCenzo is trading in the karate Gi from Cobra Kai for some survival instincts. And Kaya Rosenthal is bringing that Hightown intensity.

Why You Should Watch

It’s got that nostalgic, analog horror feel thanks to the VHS plot point, mixed with the fast-paced energy of a modern slasher. It’s basically a love letter to the genre that’ll make you think twice about wandering into a dark basement. So, pop some popcorn, get comfy, turn out the light, and watch He’s Watching You tonight.
