If you’ve watched The Nun and the great film The Hallow, or the killer series “Gangs of London,” then you’ve seen the excellent work of director Corin Hardy. Hardy’s new film, Whistle, has just hit US theaters.
Whistle follows a group of unwitting high school students who stumble upon a cursed object, an ancient Aztec Death Whistle. Soon, they discover that blowing the whistle and the terrifying sound it emits will summon their future deaths to hunt them down.
I had the pleasure of talking with Mr. Hardy about his past and present films. You can watch as the director and I take a deep dive into Whistle: the story, the cast, the special effects, and the fears it stirs. It’s much more than just a horror film; it left me having deep thoughts about my own death and the fact that we should be living every minute of life to the fullest.
