Ever felt like your phone was watching you? Well, starting today, it’s going to start screaming at you, too. Screamify, the indie home for all things blood and shadows, has officially unveiled Micro Horrors™—a lineup of original, vertically-formatted series designed to make your mobile screen feel a little too small for comfort.
The Flagship Fright: Autonomous
Leading the charge is “Autonomous.” It is a 20-episode nightmare. Starring Erin Áine and Domenic Jungling, the series follows a couple whose date night is interrupted by a terrifying realization. Their self-driving car has stopped taking orders. As the app glitches and the child locks engage, the “convenience” of modern tech turns into a high-speed prison. It’s a psychological breakdown at 65 mph, where the GPS is the villain.
Behind the Digital Curtain
Produced by Big Squid Productions, Autonomous grounds its horror in the very tech we use every day. If you’re curious how they filmed a horror movie in the back of a moving robot, you can catch the carnage on “Behind the Screams,” a new making-of series pulling back the veil on indie production chaos.
The Future is Vertical (and Terrifying)
Autonomous is just the first jump-scare in the Micro Horrors™ slate. Also joining the lineup: A new genre-bending series from Trent Duncan (Venture Court Productions). And mobile-first nightmare from TikTok’s own Joshua and Brandi Alden.
“We aren’t just changing how you watch horror; we’re changing where it can find you,” the Screamify team says. Translation: Nowhere—not even your FYP—is safe anymore.
