The Duffer Brothers might have ended “Stranger Things,” but they aren’t done traumatizing us just yet. Netflix has unleashed the trailer for “Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen.”
Forget cold feet; we’re looking at a literal wedding from hell. Here is the lowdown on the eight-episode nightmare that’ll make you want to stay single forever.
“Till Death Do Us Part” (No, Really)
If Carrie explored the horror of puberty and Rosemary’s Baby, the dread of pregnancy, this series is the definitive guide to the horror of becoming a wife.
The plot follows Rachel (Camila Morrone) and her fiancé Nicky (Adam DiMarco) as they escape to a secluded, snowy forest for their dream wedding. With a five-day countdown to the ceremony, things go south faster than a bouquet toss in a hurricane. Between eerie “coincidences” and a creeping sense of paranoia, Rachel begins to realize that a “lifelong commitment” might be far scarier than any ghost.
A Killer Guest List
The casting department clearly understood the assignment, bringing in some serious horror royalty to fill the pews. There are icons like Jennifer Jason Leigh (Single White Female) and Ted Levine (the man behind Buffalo Bill himself). The ensemble includes Jeff Wilbusch, Karla Crome, Gus Birney, and Sawyer Fraser.
The Architects of the Apocalypse
The series is created and steered by Haley Z. Boston (Cabinet of Curiosities), who reportedly took her mom’s advice to “not marry the wrong person” and dialed the stakes up to a full-blown slasher.
Behind the camera, we have Weronika Tofilska (the mastermind who directed Baby Reindeer), alongside Axelle Carolyn and Lisa Brühlmann.
Save the Date
If anyone asks if you’re ready to binge all eight episodes, say “I do.” “Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen” premieres on Netflix on March 26, 2026. And if you’re still riding that 80s high, don’t forget that the first trailer for Stranger Things ’85 just dropped, too. It’s officially a great year to be a fan of things that go bump in the night via the Duffers.
