What’s the Story?!
The mastermind behind the first flick, writer/director Jalmari Helander (Rare Exports, Big Game), who we interviewed when SISU was released, is back at the helm, and he’s steering this thing straight into over-the-top excess!
This time, the stakes are super personal. Aatami returns to the house where his family was brutally murdered during the war. His plan? Dismantle the whole place and rebuild it somewhere safe to honor them. A noble mission, right?
However, the Red Army commander who killed his family, Stephen Lang (yes, the badass from Don’t Breathe), is back and hellbent on finishing the job! This kicks off a relentless, cross-country chase that’s basically a fight to the death, packed with clever, unbelievable action set pieces. Oh, and if that wasn’t enough to get your heart racing, the mega-violent sequel also stars Richard Brake (3 from Hell)!
