So, what happens when those meant to provide comfort in our final moments are faced with an absolute, incomprehensible terror? Storm King Comics has announced CHAPLAIN, part of the Night Terrors line. It is a surreal and terrifying debut graphic novel that plunges readers into a hospital overrun by a plague of unrelenting cosmic horror.
A Crisis of Faith and Reality
An aging, weary hospital chaplain makes a chilling discovery: a monstrous entity is stalking the corridors of his medical center. Forced to confront the existential terror of his own mortality, he and his young intern are pushed to the brink of insanity as an ancient presence begins to warp the environment around them. Despite their deepest convictions, their very grasp of reality begins to unravel. Nonetheless, they aren’t going down without a fight.
