Just yesterday, we broke the news that horror maestro Eli Roth and rap icon Nas are joining forces. Well, the freshly minted duo is wasting absolutely no time. Today, we finally have the official release date and the first teaser poster for Roth’s Ice Cream Man.
A Deadly Twist on a Summer Classic
Ice Cream Man is the flagship feature for Roth’s new media company, The Horror Section. If you were hoping for a wholesome summer flick, you are in the wrong place.
The film follows an idyllic, sun-soaked summer town that descends into absolute madness when the local ice cream man begins serving the neighborhood kids sweet treats with deeply horrifying results.
A Killer Cast and Crew
Roth has assembled a fantastic lineup of talent both in front of and behind the camera to bring this dairy-induced dread to life. The cast includes Ari Millen (Orphan Black) as the titular, terrifying Ice Cream Man. He is joined by Benjamin Byron Davis (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3), Karen Cliche (Thanksgiving), and a host of talented young stars.
Co-written by Roth and his longtime collaborator Noah Belson (The Rotten Fruit), the movie will have top-tier practical effects. The film features horrifying prosthetic makeup by Steve Newburn and Academy Award winner Adrien Morot (The Whale, Thanksgiving).
An original score by Emmy-winner Brandon Roberts, with additional music provided by none other than Snoop Dogg. Yes, you read that right, Snoop Dogg is bringing his iconic voice to the soundtrack. The Horror Section also teased its upcoming slate, which includes Don’t Go In That House, Bitch!—a film that Snoop Dogg is set to both produce and star in.
When will the Ice Cream Man arrive?
Clear your calendars and prep your sweet tooth: the film is set for a massive, wide theatrical release on August 7, 2026, hitting over 2,000 screens across North America via Iconic Events Releasing.
