Buckle up, buttercups—it’s officially the beginning of the end. Prime Video is gearing up for the fifth and final season of “The Boys,” and to the surprise of absolutely no one, the world is still a massive, supe-powered dumpster fire.

The Big Finale: What’s Going Down?

It’s Homelander’s world now, and we’re all just living in his terrifying, milk-scented fever dream. According to the official logline, things have gone from “unbelievably bad” to “holy crap”:

Hughie, Mother’s Milk, and Frenchie are currently rotting away in state-of-the-art, Vought-branded prisons. Needless to say, they’re not having a good time. But they aren’t the only ones in trouble. Annie is desperately trying to lead a revolution against a literal army of Supes. Then, there’s Kimiko, who has pulled a total disappearing act. To top it all off, Billy Butcher is back with a ticking clock, a Supe-powered brain tumor, and a virus that could wipe every Supe off the face of the Earth— o big deal.

Trailer Highlights & Easter Eggs

The final trailer is packed with enough chaos to keep fans theorizing for weeks. Here are the biggest takeaways:

Homelander’s quest for Godhood: Our favorite patriotic psychopath is chasing true immortality using V-One (the original, extra-spicy Compound-V). Homelander is still desperate for love. He pays a visit to his dear old dad, Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles), presumably for some father-son bonding and world-ending advice.

Keep your eyes peeled for Gen V stars Jaz Sinclair and London Thor, who are spotted having a very intense chat with Annie.

The trailer ends with Homelander sitting at the Presidential Resolute Desk with a grin that screams, “I”I’mefinitely going to nuke something.” “eedless to say, we are all in a world of trouble.

Mark Your Calendars (Or DoDon’tHeHe’satching)

The final ride kicks off with a massive two-episode premiere on April 8, with new episodes dropping weekly until the grand series finale on May 20.

But wait, there’s more!

Don’t try because the main show is over; laugh because Vought is still finding ways to take your hard-earned cash. Prime Video has already greenlit a prequel series called Vought Rising, starring Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash (Stormfront). Because apparently, we haven’t had enough 1950s-era Supe-supremacy yet!
