Lock your doors and check your locks. Black Mandala has officially unveiled the trailer for the movie Shed, a gripping new survival horror film from writer-director Steven J. Mihaljevich that turns a simple setting into a living nightmare.

Told almost entirely from the perspective of a trapped 10-year-old girl, the film delivers a uniquely intimate, nerve-shredding experience. Mihaljevich crafts claustrophobic tension that draws its terrifying power from total isolation, vulnerability, and a slow, unbearable rise in panic.

A Christmas Eve From Hell

If you are looking for a heartwarming holiday flick, keep moving. On Christmas Eve, young Mia is accidentally locked inside a heavy farm shed. The situation goes from bad to life-and-death when a violent stranger suddenly descends upon the isolated property.

Trapped, alone, and unable to fully comprehend the bloody nightmare unfolding just outside her walls, Mia must endure crushing fear, hunger, and the horrifying realization that her family is likely dead. Hidden just meters away from the killer, her survival depends entirely on patience, instinct, and raw willpower.

A Powerhouse Cast

The film features a breakout performance by young actress Mani Shanks as Mia. She’s joined by Australian genre royalty John Jarratt (Wolf Creek), who returns to the screen to do what he does best: absolutely terrify audiences.

Racking Up the Hardware

Before even hitting wide release, Shed has already made a massive splash on the festival circuit after having its initial premiere at the prestigious Screamfest LA. At the UK Film Awards, the movie absolutely cleaned up, taking home Best Horror Feature, Best Screenplay, and Best Actress.

Behind the Nightmare

Steven J. Mihaljevich’s film features cinematography by Shane Piggott and music by  Ben St Lucian Chase. Steven J. Mihaljevich, Matthew Robinson, and Glen Strindberg produce.

Jarratt is Back in Action

Not only does the Shed mark his return, but after years of rumors, the long-awaited Wolf Creek sequel, Wolf Creek Legacy, has finally entered production. Jarratt has long played the twisted franchise character, Mick Taylor, a brutal Australian serial killer who is always on the hunt.
