Spring is in the air, but on Shudder, the only thing blooming is a fresh batch of nightmares. The horror streaming giant has unveiled a stacked lineup for April and May 2026, featuring everything from cursed Aztec artifacts to the most terrifying “parenting” story you’ve ever seen.

Dust off your Shudder subscription—here are the titles coming to haunt your living room.

Night Patrol

Streaming: April 17

The Vibe: Training Day meets a creature feature.

When an LAPD officer returns to the housing projects where he grew up, he expects friction with the locals. He doesn’t expect to find a police task force harboring a secret so horrific it makes the local gangs look like neighborhood watch. To save his community, he’ll have to team up with the very people he’s supposed to arrest.

-Directed By: Ryan Prows

-The Heavy Hitters: Jermaine Fowler, Justin Long, Dermot Mulroney, and CM Punk.

-The Cool Factor: Features a wild supporting cast including Freddie Gibbs, YG, and Flying Lotus.

Dolly

Streaming: April 24

The Vibe: Extreme “Mother May I?” energy.

Macy (Fabianne Therese) finds herself in the middle of the world’s worst kidnapping. Her abductor is a deranged, monster-like figure who doesn’t want a ransom—they want to “raise” her as their child. It’s a claustrophobic fight for survival that gives a whole new meaning to the term “nursery rhymes.”

-Directed By: Rod Blackhurst

-Starring: Seann William Scott, Ethan Suplee, and the imposing Max the Impaler.

Whistle

Streaming: May 8

The Vibe: Final Destination with an ancient twist.

A group of high school misfits finds an ancient Aztec Death Whistle. Rule number one of horror movies: if an object has “Death” in the name, don’t blow it. They do, of course, and discover the sound summons their own future deaths to hunt them down. It’s a race against time and fate to break the curse before the whistle blows for good.

-Directed By: Corin Hardy (The Nun)

-Starring: Dafne Keen, Sophie Nélisse, Nick Frost, and Michelle Fairley.

-The Artifact: Based on actual Aztec history—because reality wasn’t scary enough.

This Is Not A Test

Streaming: May 22

The Vibe: Graduation day at the end of the world.

When the apocalypse hits their hometown, Sloane (Olivia Holt) and her classmates barricade themselves inside their high school. But as the danger outside gets louder, the internal dynamics get deadlier. Sloane has to decide whether to wait for a rescue that isn’t coming or take a crash course in survival.

-Written & Directed By: Adam MacDonald (Pyewacket)

-Starring: Olivia Holt, Froy Gutierrez, and Luke MacFarlane.

The Interview: Writer-director Adam MacDonald sat down for an interview with us, sharing his excitement for the film.
