Prime Video Unveils First Look at New Series “The Sticky”

Today, Prime Video released first-look images for “The Sticky.” a new series inspired by the true story of the “Great Canadian Maple Syrup Heist.” The series is described as a mix of dark hilarity, edge-of-the-seat excitement, and heartbreaking drama.

The Sticky” hails from showrunners Ed Herro and Brian Donovan. It follows Ruth Landry (three-time Emmy winner Margo Martindale). She is a rugged syrup farmer who turns to crime when the authorities threaten to take away everything she loves. She teams up with a hot-tempered mobster (Chris Diamantopoulos) and a French-Canadian security guard (Guillaume Cyr) to carry out a multi-million dollar heist. Oscar and Emmy winner Jamie Lee Curtis (Halloween franchise) also stars.

Brian Donovan and Ed Herro are the creators, executive producers, showrunners, and writers. Jonathan Levine and Gillian Bohrer are Megamix’s executive producers. Jamie Lee Curtis is the executive producer for Comet Pictures. Jason Blum, Chris McCumber, Jeremy Gold, Chris Dickie for Blumhouse Television, and Michael Dowse. Lauren Grant serves as co-executive producer. Associate producers include Josée Vallée, Bruno Dubé for Sphere Media, Inc., and Russell Goldman for Comet Pictures.

Over 2011 and 2012, nearly 3,000 tons of maple syrup, valued at $18.7 million, were stolen from a storage facility in Quebec, and the media quickly labeled it “The Great Canadian Maple Syrup Heist.”

The Sticky” premieres on December 6th exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories worldwide.
