This chilling movie is a dark twist on the classic Pied Piper story. Piper transforms a children’s fable into a horrifying nightmare, exploring themes of guilt, punishment, and the power of secrets.
Liz (Hurley), who has moved to a news town, is entangled in a sinister legend. Liz and her daughter, Amy, become targets of the Piper, a vengeful spirit who punishes adults for their past sins. She must confront a dark secrets she’s tried to leave behind to save her daughter.
As the Piper’s ominous presence looms, Amy finds an unlikely ally in Luca, a mysterious street magician. Together, they must unravel the truth behind the legend and find a way to break free from the Piper’s grasp before it’s too late.
Piper is directed by Anthony Waller, who also wrote the screenplay based on Duncan Kennedy’s story. The film boasts an impressive cast, including Mia Jenkins, Jack Stewart, Tara Fitzgerald, Ryan Webber, and Robert Daws.
“The idea of transforming a children’s fairy tale into a dark and multi-layered contemporary story has always fascinated me,” says Waller. “Piper” delves into the complexities of human nature, blurring the lines between reality and superstition.
