Odds are, if you’re a fan of horror and Troma, you have witnessed the tasty insanity of Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead, directed by Lloyd Kaufman. Troma has now announced that the infamous, wacky, brutal, and bloody movie is getting a sequel!
Released back in 2006, the original saw zombified chickens attempt to kill the fast-food workers who cook them in a restaurant built on an ancient burial ground.
“Mercedes the Muse” is set to write and direct the sequel, which is described as having “more guts, more blood, and more poultry.” However, this is not the “B” scream Queen’s first gig. The actress, writer, and director already has nine titles under her belt, including Gasmask Girl, Divide and Conquer, and the upcoming flick Rise of the Super Tromettes, which has already wrapped filming.
At the moment, Torma is keeping details surrounding the sequel quiet, but we’ll let you know as soon as more comes to light.
