The high-end collectibles brand Mondo has officially expanded its nostalgic animated lineup. It has just unveiled The Real Ghostbusters Louis Tully and Grundel 1/12 Scale Figure Set.
The classic Saturday-morning animated series inspired the collectible. It brings fans a high-demand character pairing that perfectly captures the show’s humor and eerie atmosphere. Available as a limited Timed Edition for $202, pre-orders are officially open for collectors looking to add the ultimate ghostbusting team expansion to their shelves.
Louis Tully Suits Up for Action
Every iconic character deserves a turn at busting ghosts. And this set finally gives beloved accountant Louis Tully his moment in uniform. Standing at 5.9 inches tall, the meticulously detailed figure comes loaded with a full suite of proton-powered equipment. That includes a customized Proton Pack with a detachable Particle Thrower and stream attachment, an Ecto Goggles accessory, a PKE Tracker, and a classic Ghost Trap. Designed with interchangeable smiling and frowning expressions along with multiple hand swaps, the figure captures Louis in all his well-meaning, nervous glory.
The Horror of the Grundel Unleashed
Beyond the hero equipment, the Timed Edition set includes one of the most memorable and creepy creature designs from the animated series: the menacing Grundel. Towering over Louis at 7.2 inches, the imposing villain figure arrives complete with three distinct interchangeable head portraits—neutral, scary, and smiling. It also includes alternate hand attachments. To fully recreate the eerie storylines from the classic television episode, the set also bundles a specialized Grundel Alec accessory figure, a Grundel-themed Ghost Trap, and a bonus Proton Pack Slimer figure featuring its own ectoplasmic stream attachment.
Craftsmanship and Product Specifications
Constructed from high-grade PVC and ABS, the entire set weighs 7 pounds. It showcases incredible artistic craftsmanship in every sculpt and paint application. Concept design and sculpting were spearheaded by Alex Brewer, with detailed paintwork by Mark Bristow. The physical package features original packaging art from Brett Parson. The design work is by Jordan Christianson, and product photography was by Raúl Barrero.
