Set within a rich supernatural civilization dubbed the “Yuleverse,” the series stars Krampus, the Lord of Yule, a powerful, dark-witted entity. One who doesn’t break the rules so much as exploit every available loophole. Beside him stands Lady Krampus (Freya), an equally formidable force. She navigates a chaotic system alongside her twin Frigg. But that’s not all; there’s also the Yulefather Odin, St. Nick, the enigmatic Jim Crowdin, and a crew of deeply unhelpful Hellves.

Delivered as a live-action, short-form vertical series featuring selective animation and stylized supernatural imagery, The Krampus Clause treats its mythological roots with genuine weight. All while letting centuries of ego, bureaucracy, and holiday drinking derail the administrative machinery.

Creating the Yuleverse
Co-creators and writers Mark Antonio de Villiers and Melanie Byron built the series around a simple premise: what if all ancient winter legends inhabited the same—as functional office space? Rather than starting after the myths were scrubbed clean, the creators leaned into the raw lore. As well as ancient rivalries and administrative absurdities of the pre-modern era.
The Cast and Characters
Mark Antonio de Villiers anchors the ensemble as Krampus, the sharp-witted Lord of Yule who keeps the holiday bureaucracy running through legal loopholes and sheer intimidation. Co-creator Melanie Byron pulls double duty on screen as Lady Krampus (Freya) alongside her twin sister Frigg. Bringing formidable Goddess Witch Queen energy to the administrative chaos. Joining the high command is Chris Horn. He steps into a dual role as both the Yulefather Odin St. Nick and the enigmatic Jim Crowdin.
Rounding out the dysfunctional corporate ecosystem, Regan McCarthy brings life to the eccentric Grimble Wiscovitch. On the airwaves, Kaitlyn O’Shea spins tracks for the realm as DJ Holly Berry. Avery Allison lights up the room as Merry Lights. Completing the main ensemble is Amber Blake as Candy Cane to round out the festive workforce.
