Even though we’re still enjoying spring, the whispers of summer horrors are already starting to creep in. Netflix has just dropped a title that’s piqued our interest for those warmer, albeit potentially terrifying, months. As part of their Summer movie lineup, there’s one film you’re going to want to watch: Brick, and the first images have surfaced.

A Talented Cast

Brick stars the talented Matthias Schweighöfer, whom you might recognize from Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead. Ruby O. Fee joins him in what sounds like a claustrophobic and mind-bending horror thriller with a hint of sci-fi.

The Wall

The setup for Brick is instantly unsettling: Tim (Matthias Schweighöfer) and Olivia (Ruby O. Fee) wake up to a truly bizarre and terrifying reality. They find themselves trapped inside their apartment by an impenetrable wall that has seemingly materialized overnight. And if that wasn’t creepy enough, they soon realize they are not alone. The entire building and its residents appear similarly enclosed, cut off from the outside world by this mysterious barrier.

The central questions driving the narrative are immediately compelling: What happened? Who built this wall, and more importantly, why? With no chance of outside help reaching them, the trapped residents are forced to band together. They form uneasy alliances as they desperately try to escape their concrete and steel prison. The stakes are high as they try to solve the wall’s baffling mystery before it’s too late. And to survive whatever else might be lurking within their newly confined world.

Brick, a Netflix Original directed by Philip Koch, has a strong supporting cast that includes Frederick Lau, Salber Lee Williams, Murathan Muslu, Axel Werner, Sira-Anna Faal, and Alexander Beyer.

Coming This Summer

With its claustrophobic premise, the looming threat of the unknown, and a talented ensemble cast, Brick sounds like the perfect recipe for a suspenseful summer night when it begins streaming exclusively on Netflix on July 10th, 2025. Add it to your Netflix watch list now. We’ll let you know as soon as the trailer drops.
