Independent film company Alliance Media Partners has officially boarded world sales for the upcoming horror thriller Non-Player Character, Deadline reports.
Described as bold and provocative, the feature recently wrapped principal photography and unveiled a striking first-look image. Directed by Nathan Tape, the movie explores the dark intersections of digital isolation, algorithmic manipulation, and extreme violence. Genre fans can expect a chilling exploration of modern internet culture and hyper-masculinity.
“Non-Player Character expertly blends surrealist horror with the menacing hyper-masculinity of the vigilante thriller, delivering a frightening portrait of our digital existence.” Deadline quotes writer Tim Cairo as saying.
A Desperate Mission Devolves into Surreal Chaos
The story centers on Hank Krinkle, played by Jared Bankens, a socially isolated internet content moderator, facing immense personal pressure. Daily, Hank monitors the most depraved corners of the web while caring for his abusive, dying father. Seeking a black-market organ to save his father’s life, Hank plunges into a shady underground world. However, his reality collapses into a hallucinatory nightmare of digital conspiracies, dark exploitation, and unhinged vigilante violence.
Star-Studded Cast and Visionary Creative Team
The cast also includes seasoned actors Eddie Jemison and Madison Wolfe. Director Nathan Tape co-wrote the complex psychological horror film with Tim Cairo (Night Patrol). Together, the creative team aims to blend surrealist horror elements with classic vigilante thriller tropes.
