Prepare for a haunting tale where broken promises lead to terror! The horror film Bury Me When I’m Dead follows a man whose life spirals horrifically out of control after his wife dies.
The film introduces us to Catherine, who, after being diagnosed with brain cancer, travels with Henry to her childhood home. There, amidst their final moments, Henry makes a solemn vow: to bury her in a remote, secluded forest. However, Henry is hiding a dark secret. Their friend Rebecca is pregnant with his child. After Catherine’s sudden death, Henry faces threats from her powerful and overbearing father, Gary. Henry breaks his promise and returns her body to the city.
The weight of Henry’s betrayal of Catherine, coupled with his fear of her father, pushes him to the edge. As his life rapidly begins to unravel, a series of increasingly strange and devastating events convince him that Catherine’s vengeful ghost is back to collect on his broken promise.
With its unique cross-genre storytelling and rare narrative structure, writer/director Seabold Krebs weaves a tragic and haunting tale. He brilliantly captures a man caught between the harsh realities of his actions and the chilling grip of the paranormal. Henry desperately tries to undo his mistakes, only to find himself trapped in the darkness of his own making.
Bury Me When I’m Dead is produced by Nicholas Payne Santos and Amanda Freeman, with Rob Coterill serving as Executive Producer. Gemma Doll-Grossman handles the cinematography. The film is a Plenty Good & Slow Peach production, in association with 88/90 Productions.
So, get ready, this haunting tale about broken promises and regrets comes to life on digital and VOD on Friday, July 18th, from Vertical Entertainment.
