Tonight is the night “Dexter” fans have been waiting for, Dexter’s return in “Dexter: Resurrection!” That’s right, our favorite serial killer is back in action and on a mission to find his son, Harrison, whom he reunited with in “Dexter: New Blood.”
The new series picks up just weeks after Dexter (Michael C. Hall) was shot. Dexter awakens from a coma only to find that Harrison (Jack Alcott) has vanished. The weight of what he put his son through finally strikes Dexter. And he sets off for the streets of New York City, determined to find Harrison and, somehow, make things right. But as any Dexter fan knows, closure rarely comes easy.
When Miami Metro’s very own Angel Batista (David Zayas) arrives with serious questions, Dexter realizes his past is catching up to him faster than he can say “tonight’s the night.” That’s not all. A group of serial killers has come together; the question is, what hell will they unleash as they take a bite of the “Big Apple?”
James Remar returns as Dexter’s dead but ever-present father, Harry Morgan. And hold on to your scapels, the season features some serious star power, including Neil Patrick Harris, Krysten Ritter, Eric Stonestreet, David Dastmalchian, and Peter Dinklage.
I had the pleasure of speaking to the regular cast, including David Zayas, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Saraf, Dominic Fumusa, and Emilia Suárez. Watch the interview below to hear them discuss the first season, their characters, and more. And be sure to tune in tonight (July 11) for the season premiere of “Dexter: Resurrection” on Paramount+! I won’t give any spoilers, but I will say that this season is incredible! Get ready to be on the edge of your seat from beginning to end!
