The trailer for the final four episodes of “Wednesday: Part 2“ just dropped, and it’s full of surprises—the biggest one being the return of a fan-favorite character! It looks like Principal Weems (Gwendoline Christie), who met a tragic end in the Season 1 finale, is back from the dead… kind of!
A Spirit Guide in a Nurse’s Uniform?
The trailer kicks off with Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) waking up from the coma she fell into after Tyler (Hunter Doohan) threw her out of a window at the asylum. Who’s there to greet her? A ghostly Principal Weems, dressed as a nurse, with a cheerful, treating.
The scene quickly shifts to a bizarre, dream-like landscape with a massive gorgon head statue. Weems clarifies the situation: “This isn’t hell, Miss Adams, but I understand the confusion.” When Wednesday asks why she’s there, Weems drops the bombshell: “Because I am your new spirit guide. Surprise!”
Old Friends, New Dangers
The trailer also shows a tense moment between Wednesday and Enid (Emma Myers). Wednesday finally opens up, telling Enid that Tyler is a serious threat, only for Enid to fire back, “Fix it? You’re the reason he escaped.”
The trailer teases that our heroes will be fighting for Nevermore and Jericho. Weems’s voiceover warns, “If you don’t hurry, you’ll have nothing left to save.” The trailer closes with a chilling final line, delivered by a voice that sounds remarkably like pop icon Lady Gaga, saying, “Beware, there will be a price to pay.” Lady Gaga has already been confirmed as a Season 2 guest star, but details about her role are still a complete mystery!
The impressive cast from Season 1 is back, including Jenna Ortega as Wednesday, Emma Myers as Enid, and Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia. Luis Guzmán returns as Gomez. The ensemble also features Jamie McShane, Hunter Doohan, Joy Sunday, Georgie Farmer, Moosa Mostafa, Christina Ricci, and Victor Dorobantu.
The new season also introduces new characters, including Principal Dort, played by Steve Buscemi, and guest stars such as Lady Gaga as Rosaline Rotwood. Christopher Lloyd plays Professor Orloff. The series continues to be executive-produced by Tim Burton, who also directed four episodes this season. It features music by Danny Elfman and Chris Bacon, ensuring the signature spooky and gothic atmosphere remains intact.
Get ready for an insane finale when “Wednesday: Part 2” drops on September 23 for its final four episodes!
