News has come that Searchlight Pictures has emerged victorious in a fierce bidding war for the script of William Gillies’ new psychological thriller, Incidents. The script reportedly drew eleven competing offers and is described as an intense story about a woman who escapes a failed abduction. She then sets out to find her kidnapper and get revenge.

If the name William Gillies sounds familiar, it’s because he’s also the writer behind the upcoming thriller Hallow Road, directed by Babak Anvari (Under the Shadow). Hollow Road stars Oscar Nominee Rosamund Pike and Emmy winner Matthew Rhys. The trailer throws us headfirst into a desperate situation. Pike and Rhys star as worried parents who receive the kind of late-night phone call every parent dreads. Their teenage daughter, Alice (Megan McDonnell), has hit a pedestrian with her car on a dark and isolated road. Panic sets in as they race to reach their daughter before anyone else discovers the accident scene.
