Shudder is bringing back its highly anticipated “Season of Screams” event on September 1st. This year’s lineup is running for multiple fear-packed months to wrap up the streamer’s tenth anniversary celebration. And we’ve got the event’s highlights. 

The event features a terrifying mix of original series, films, and specials. It also includes the return of fan favorites, such as the Ghoul Log and the Halloween Hotline. Shudder’s Resurrected library will also be bolstered with iconic horror classics, including REC, 28 Weeks Later, and The Blair Witch Project.

 

Highlights from the ‘Season of Screams’

 

Here are some of the key highlights you can look forward to:

  • Revenge of the Ghoul Log: Shudder’s iconic hour-long lighted pumpkin video is getting a new version created by the Andujar Twins, the production design team behind this summer’s hit horror film I Know What You Did Last Summer. It will begin streaming on October 1st.

 

  • The Halloween Hotline: This fan-favorite returns, with Shudder’s Head of Programming, Samuel Zimmerman, offering personalized horror film recommendations to lucky callers. The date for this event will be announced soon.

 

 

New Shudder Originals

 

Dangerous Animals: In this tense horror-thriller, a free-spirited surfer is abducted by a shark-obsessed serial killer. This chilling thriller premieres on September 5th.

 

 

V/H/S/ Halloween: The eighth installment in the popular franchise features six new terrifying tales, available from October 3rd.

 

 

Hell House LLC: Lineage: Following its brief theatrical run, this film about a town cursed with recurring nightmares will stream on October 30th.

 

 

Night of the Reaper: A babysitting gig turns into a dangerous game of cat and mouse in this 1980s-set film premiering on September 19th.

 

 

House on Eden: A group of paranormal investigators gets more than they bargained for in an abandoned home. It hits Shudder on September 26th.

 

 

Abraham’s Boys: A Dracula Story: This film, based on a Joe Hill story, explores the sons of Abraham Van Helsing as they try to decipher their father’s strange behavior. It comes to Shudder on November 7th.
