Black Fawn Distribution has just announced a partnership with horror master Eli Roth‘s new company, The Horror Section. Their first mission? To bring the bonkers film Jimmy and Stiggs to Canadian audiences first and more.

Written, directed by, and starring the genre veteran Joe Begos (Bliss, Christmas Bloody Christmas), this movie is a neon-drenched, blood-soaked adventure. It also co-stars Matt Mercer (Contracted).

What Is This Movie About?!

Jimmy and Stiggs follows Jimmy Lang (Joe Begos), a filmmaker whose life is a total mess. After a “perfect storm of lousy news,” he goes on a bender and claims to have been abducted by aliens. Convinced they’re coming back, he enlists his old buddy Stiggs (Matt Mercer) to help him prepare for war. It sounds completely insane, and that’s exactly what makes it so exciting!

The Full Theatrical Experience

Roth states, “They completely understand this audience, how to reach them, and how to turn this type of film into an event.” And an event it will be! The theatrical release will feature fake trailers from the film. There’s also a post-credits making-of featurette and special messages from the filmmakers.

Black Fawn Distribution’s president, Chad Archibald, perfectly sums it up: Jimmy and Stiggs is a batshit insane film that genre fans need to see on the big screen.” We couldn’t agree more. Get ready to have your mind blown—and probably get a little bit of alien blood splattered on you (figuratively, of course).

The theatrical run kicks off with the Canadian premiere in Toronto on September 25, with additional screenings already announced for Vancouver, Ottawa, and Hamilton. More dates and a US release are expected to be added soon.
