The countdown to Halloween is officially on its way. And ARROW Player is celebrating the spooky season with a killer lineup for October 2025. Get ready for a month packed with cult classics, brand-new restorations, and some seriously terrifying films you might have missed.

Horror from Around the Globe

Kicking things off, ARROW is bringing us the Asian horror anthology series Three and Three…Extremes, featuring top-tier directors from Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, and Thailand. From Takashi Miike to Park Chan-wook, you know you’re in for some seriously messed-up and masterful filmmaking.

They’re also dropping a brand-new restoration of Ms. 45, a gritty, powerful look at 1980s New York that’s as controversial as ever. And for all you giallo fans, don’t miss What Have They Done to Your Daughters?, a dark and chilling semi-sequel that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Modern Horrors to Die For

Need some fresh scares? On October 3rd, ARROW is highlighting some fantastic under-the-radar modern horror films.

  • Family Dinner: An overweight teenager hopes to lose weight at her aunt’s farm, but soon suspects something is deeply wrong with her family.
  • A Most Atrocious Thing: A graduation trip turns deadly when a group of friends eats tainted deer meat, turning them into flesh-craving zombies.
  • Creep Van: A slacker gets caught in a dangerous game of cat and mouse after buying a mysterious van.
  • Housebound: A woman under house arrest discovers her childhood home is haunted.

Rue Morgue Magazine’s Spooky Picks

The experts at Rue Morgue magazine have curated their own terrifying playlist for ARROW. According to their Executive Editor, this list is all about movies that “make me feel changed, rattled, shaken and not stirred.” This intimate selection includes titles like Spider Baby, Audition, and Calvaire.

Monsters, Murder, and Mayhem

Finally, on October 10th, get ready for a triple feature of terror:

  • She Freak: A newly restored 1960s exploitation classic about a waitress who despises her new job at a carnival.
  • Resolution: A man tries to help his junkie friend get sober, only to find their week is being manipulated by a mysterious force.
  • Boardinghouse: An 80s favorite where a series of gruesome murders begins again after a boarding house reopens.

With all these incredible titles, you’ll have plenty to watch while you wait for Halloween night!

ARROW Player’s ‘Gialloween’ Celebration is Here!

Get ready to dive into a world of stylish black-gloved killers and blood-soaked secrets because ARROW is celebrating Halloween in a big way with “Gialloween.” This special curated collection, available starting October 17, is a deep dive into the bloodiest and best of Italian horror.

Forget the traditional masked slashers! Giallo films offer a different kind of terror, with their unique blend of mystery, murder, and high-fashion suspense. The “Gialloween” lineup features some of the most influential and important films in the genre, all presented in new restorations that make them just as shocking and terrifying as they were in their heyday. Just a friendly warning: you might want to leave the lights on for this one.

The collection includes a terrifying list of titles, such as Tenebrae, The Bird With The Crystal Plumage, Deep Red, What Have They Done To Your Daughters?, and The Killer Reserved Nine Seats. For the first time ever, North American subscribers can stream both Tenebrae and The Bird With The Crystal Plumage.

The European nightmares don’t stop there! The collection also includes The Strange Vice of Mrs. Wardh, a chilling tale about an unfaithful wife who finds herself at the center of a brutal series of razor-blade murders.

A Pan-Asian Horror Anthology

On October 24, ARROW is treating fans to a double feature of pan-Asian horror with the anthology films Three and Three… Extremes. The first film, Three, is a collection of haunted tales from South Korea, Thailand, and Hong Kong, directed by cinematic masters like Kim Jee-woon and Nonzee Nimibutr. The sequel, Three… Extremes takes the terror even further with contributions from celebrated directors Fruit Chan, Park Chan-wook, and Takashi Miike. These films are known for their ability to shock and unsettle, and they’re the perfect way to get into the Halloween spirit.

ARROW Player’s October Lineup Continues with More Terrifying Treats

ARROW is pulling out all the stops for its October lineup, with a final terrifying wave of releases before Halloween. On October 24, the streaming service is giving subscribers a new restoration of the iconic 80s revenge thriller, Ms. 45. In this film, a mute seamstress in 1980s New York City is pushed to her breaking point after being sexually assaulted twice in one day. Fuelled by her trauma, she decides to take matters into her own hands. She transforms into a vigilante who uses a .45 calibre pistol to take out men who pose a sexual threat. This cult classic is a gritty and powerful film in the same vein as Death Wish and Taxi Driver.

A Trip Back to the 80s

Just in time for Halloween, on October 27, ARROW is taking us back to one of the greatest decades in horror history. Get ready for a triple feature of frights that perfectly capture the wild and weird spirit of the 80s:

  • Slugs: The townsfolk of a quiet rural community are dying in bizarre and gruesome ways. As a health inspector investigates, he makes a truly terrifying discovery: giant killer slugs are breeding in the sewers and are making a meal out of the locals.
  • Apprentice to Murder: In early twentieth-century Pennsylvania, a young man named Billy Kelly becomes the apprentice to a folk magic healer, Dr. John Reese (played by the legendary Donald Sutherland). The two work together to investigate a mysterious sickness that is plaguing their community, but as the plague spreads, Billy begins to question if they are doing God’s work or the Devil’s bidding.
  • Dead-End Drive-In: One of Quentin Tarantino’s favorite directors, Brian Trenchard-Smith, gives us this dystopian cult classic. In a near-future where society has collapsed, the government uses drive-in movie theaters as concentration camps to detain unruly teenagers. This film is a wild ride with a new-wave soundtrack and outrageous stunts.
  • Flowers in the Attic: When her father dies, Cathy Dollanganger and her siblings are taken to their tyrannical grandmother’s mansion. She locks the children in an attic, and as their mother becomes increasingly distant, they must fight to survive against their cruel and manipulative family.
  • Return of the Killer Tomatoes: This classic horror-comedy is a direct sequel to the 1978 original. After a decade of peace, mankind lives in fear of another uprising by the waxy red menace. But when a mad professor creates a new army of tomato-men, the battle for humanity’s survival begins again.
