If your horror watchlist needs a fresh scare this spooky season, I’ve got the perfect pick for you: Solvent! This first-person horror film is set to hit VOD and Digital Platforms this October, and to celebrate, we have an exclusive clip to share with you.
The premise sounds absolutely terrifying. The story follows a team of experts—essentially, Nazi relic hunters—including an American expat, who travel to an abandoned, old Austrian farmhouse. Their goal is to locate hidden Nazi documents. But, as often happens in horror movies, their search for history uncovers something far more dangerous. Deep inside the crumbling house, they accidentally awaken an ancient, insatiable evil that is determined to devour them and everything they hold dear.
The film is directed by Johannes Grenzfurthner, who also co-wrote the script with Ben Roberts. Grenzfurthner is known for his previous work, such as Masking Threshold, which suggests he’s not afraid to push boundaries and experiment with unconventional approaches within the genre.
With a cast that includes Jon Gries and Grenzfurthner himself, alongside Aleksandra Cwen, Solvent promises a tense, claustrophobic, and mind-bending experience. Mark your calendar for October 10th, when it will be available on Digital and VOD.
